Practice Lead

Role: Practice Lead – Outdoor nursery

Location: Elgin (Moray)

Hours: 40 p/w Year round

Salary: £12.71 ph (£26,426 fte)

We are looking for a special someone this time. Practice leads have such a unique place in our teams and this role is diverse and important. This is a leadership role without a doubt and you must have experience leading and motivating a team to deliver the practice vision of the organisation. You will be working closely with the nursery leadership team and the quality & training team to form ‘what that looks like’ and then sensitively and confidently leading by example when out with the children and the team.

This is not a role ‘by name only’. You have a key position within the group and will have excellent communication skills to be able to encourage the team around you to pull together for the best outcomes for the children you care for. Being able to understand, share and effectively communicate the Stramash values to your team whilst also examining a worm or finding a dry pair of wellies for a child is a challenging and exciting role! But we don’t work in childcare because it’s always easy, we do it because it’s important. Because there is arguably no more important time in a child’s life than their early years.

You will build relationships with parents and children & lead your team to do the same. Working alongside the nursery leadership team you will support this expanding team through it’s next phase of development, as our cosy cabins are completed and the orchard starts to blossom.

Are you a passionate and qualified Early Years Practitioner, who recognises the intrinsic value of play and high quality interactions? Got experience leading and supporting a team in a Practice lead/Senior Practitioner capacity – working closely with your leadership team to deliver learning outcomes in a harmonious and nurturing environment for staff and children?

Do you want to work with an award winning nursery group who value their people, providing in house cpd with the likes of Trisha Lee (Helicopter Stories), Anna Ephgrave (Planning in the moment) and Julie Fisher (Interacting or Interfering)?

Do you get excited about helping children to reach their full potential in a holistic and authentic way while supporting families and being part of the nursery community? Love the outdoors?

If so, we want to hear from you!
