Perched on a hill above one of the finest views in the West Coast, nestled in a beautiful wood, sits the Stramash Oban Nursery. With two beautiful beaches only 2mins away, our children get the very best of outdoor environments.
The outdoor nursery in Oban was the first of the Stramash outdoor nurseries and with stunning views over to the islands of Lismore and Mull and a fantastic climbing tree, mud kitchen and fire circle, children from 3 to 5 can have the childhood we all dreamed about.
The mixed woodland and open field give a variety of areas for the children to play, explore and learn. Two purpose built outdoor classrooms with wood burning stoves provide a warm shelter when the weather gets a little rough.
The nursery based at our Tree Tops site (Ganavan) is open Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5.30pm, 48 weeks of the year. There are both funded and non-funded nursery spaces available for children aged 3 to 5 years.
We chose stramash for our son because we loved the idea of him embracing the outdoors from an early age. When asking Jack why he loves Stramash he says “I love water squirting and my stickman story in a circle. I love my lovely teachers – they sign us in. If I’m sad they give me a hug” Living where we do I love that jack is getting the opportunity to learn through the outdoors, gaining independence and knowledge – but in a fun,exciting yet safe environment. Jacks imagination has come alive since starting Stramash. I always recommend Stramash to friends as we have been so impressed and happy with our choice of nursery for Jack

Long Day: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Afternoon: 1pm – 5:30pm
8am Drop off available – must be booked in advance & is an additional wrap-around service
