“Our child absolutely loves attending Stramash, and it have been a fantastic experience for her education and overall well-being”
“Staff are all very supportive, caring, helpful and it is clear that they know the children very well. They are very enthusiastic and motivated and this comes across when you drop off and pick your child up. They all love the children and my child certainly loves them”
“Stramash is very much stemmed from each and every child’s Personal interests making it a very positive, unique experience. I feel very privileged to have this opportunity for my child.”
“The team are great and have encouraged and supported our child as he develops. We feel that he is valued for who he is by those who care for him at Stramash and he has, consequently, been given the space and time to grow his confidence and personality in his own way. “
“My child has a lot of confidence thanks to stramash. He is able to go up and make new friends anywhere we go which is lovely. He uses his imagination very creatively to communicate and play with new people and I believe this has been empowered by his experience in stramash.”
“We think the environment created by Stramash work well to allow our child to explore and interact with the world and the people and children around them. It has been a great experience for him”.
“As he grows older he talks more about social situations he encounters at Stramash and the ways he has dealt with them. He has never been distressed or overly preoccupied by anything that has happened during his day which indicates he is supported to deal with situations at the time and in a way which he understands. I think his emotional development has benefited from the warm and supportive enviroment created by the staff in combination with the physical space the children have access to. ”
“The staff are all very supportive, caring, approachable and it is clearly evident that the child is very much at the centre. My child just loves going and is very excited about a ‘stramash’ day. I love how they encourage and guide children to use their imagination in play ”
“We think it is open, invites us as parents to become involved. It has been great to see our child grow and develop at Stramash and be able to contribute where we can to support Stramash. The positivity and enthusiasm we see in Stramash staff is inspiring. “
One of the reasons we moved to Oban was for its outdoor nursery having lived in Glasgow when Maisy was a baby. We wanted both the girls to get a chance to spend time outdoors in all weathers and play freely the way we remember growing up.
We liked idea of preschool being in a non classroom environment. Maisy never realised she was at nursery to learn anything, which is brilliant because she learned so much this way.
Both girls enjoy/enjoyed the vastness of the site and the freedom they have/had to explore and make up games. Both love getting filthy! Making fires is always talked about (as well as marshmallows and making garlic bread ☺ )
They have both had different experiences settling in and one struggles a bit still but I believe she is happier in the outdoor setting than she would be indoors and she always seems to enjoy it by the end of the session. Being the less confident child, I see the biggest changes in her after starting at Stramash.
