Perched on a hill overlooking one of the finest views on the West Coast, Stramash Oban Nursery is nestled in a beautiful woodland setting. Just a two-minute walk from two stunning beaches, our nursery offers children the best of outdoor environments.
Our Unique Setting
Stramash Oban Nursery was the first of our outdoor nurseries, offering breathtaking views of the islands of Lismore and Mull. With features like a fantastic climbing tree, a mud kitchen, and a fire circle, children aged 3 to 5 can enjoy the kind of childhood we all dreamed about.
Our mixed woodland and open field provide a variety of areas for children to play, explore, and learn. Two purpose-built outdoor classrooms with wood-burning stoves offer a warm shelter when the weather turns rough.
Operating Hours
Located at our Tree Tops site in Ganavan, our nursery operates Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5:30pm, 48 weeks of the year. We offer both funded and non-funded nursery spaces for children aged 3 to 5 years.

Session Times:
- Morning: 8:30am – 1pm
- Short Day: 8:30am – 3:30pm
- Long Day: 8:30am – 5:30pm
- Afternoon: 1pm – 5:30pm
- 8am Drop Off: Available with advance booking as additional wrap-around service
